DAY 1

Arthur's Seat & The Old Town

Start your journey with a hike to Edinburgh’s famous ancient volcano. Arthur’s Seat allows you to experience a good hill walk in the heart of the city. On the top, enjoy the stunning 360 views of the city. Admire Edinburgh Castle and the old town on one side and Leith and the sea on the other side.

Make your way up to The Royal Mile and admire the impressive, towering tenements and visit some historical sites and attractions. Walk down some hidden closes and discover the colourful Victoria Street. Finally, at the top of The Royal Mile, you will be able to visit the world-famous icon of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle. 

After all these efforts, you will indeed deserve some sweet treats! Once you have finished your purchases, go down to Princes Street Gardens and sit next to the Scott Monument or Ross Fountain to enjoy your well-deserved delicious shortbread.

DAY 2

The Pentland Hills

On your second day in Edinburgh, you should experience a preview of the Scottish Highlands without leaving the town. Yes, it is possible!

The Pentland Hills are a range of hills to the southwest of the city.

This regional park is a true oasis of calm and nature in the city. It has a stunning range of medium-sized hills and some beautiful reservoirs. The Pentland Hills are also home to Highland Coos, our national, hairy cows, many sheep and Scottish birds. If you listen carefully, you should hear some Scottish grouse.

DAY 3

Dean Village, Stockbridge & Calton Hill

On your third day in the city, it is now time to relax!

Dean Village is a must-see when visiting Edinburgh. This hidden gem is just 5 minutes away from Princes Street. This beautiful oasis right by the Water of Leith is home to some historic buildings, quiet walkways and a waterfall.

Elegant Georgian and Victorian terraced houses fill Stockbridge. This vibrant area has a village feel and bohemian vibe. Continue to relax with a visit to The Royal Botanic Gardens as it offers peace and tranquillity. The RBG is one of the finest botanic gardens in the world. When leaving the gardens, look at their boutique shop, as you will see some of our luxury shortbread tins!

Finish your trip with a picnic on top of Calton Hill. This is the ideal location to admire the sunset over Edinburgh.
